Thru the generosity of a few friends I now have a '03 KTM 525EXC sitting my work shop for me to play with and do what I can with.
The 525 really suits my tall frame (and extra weight) real well. I have been told that there is not much difference between the 525 and the 450 other than the 525 has an extra 60cc. This extra capacity means there is a bit more torque from the engine but the top ends remain the same.
It surely is a great bike, I can run it hard along the fire trails, or just cruise in 1st or 2nd gear along the single tracks.
